The Gaspé Peninsula and Magdalen Islands Public Health Board is reporting one new case of COVID-19 (the case actually dates back to July 1 and the individual has already recovered). There are currently 191 cases in the Gaspé Peninsula and Magdalen Islands, 182 (95.3%) have recovered and 9 (4.7%) are deceased. Nineteen people have been hospitalized from the region as a result of COVID-19. Currently there are no COVID-19 related hospitalizations from the region. Fifty-one health care workers have contracted the virus, 19 are CISSS employees.
