  • Regional update: 145 individuals have recovered

    The number of people in the region with COVID-19 is stable at 174.  There are no new casualties, the total for the region is 8.  Two additional people have recovered from the virus, for a total of 145.  There are no new hospitalizations. One person is still in intensive care at a designated hospital in Rimouski.

    The breakdown of the 174 cases by health region (containing a hospital) is as follows: 

    • Bay of Chaleur sector – 131 (stable)
    • Rocher-Percé sector – 27 (stable)
    • Magdalen Islands – 9 (stable)
    • Côte-de-Gaspé – 5 (stable)
    • Haute-Gaspésie – 2 (stable)

    The totals for the province are as follows: 

    • 3483  – deaths (an increase of 82)
    • 42,183  – positive cases (an increase of 763)
    • 1763  – total hospitalizations (a decrease of 59)
    • 179   – people in intensive care (a decrease of 12)
  • Regional update: no new cases on May 15
