  • Regional update: Active cases in all MRCs; number of variant cases increase quickly

    There are eight new cases of COVID-19 bringing the overall total number of cases in the Gaspé Peninsula and Magdalen Islands to 1786. There are currently 27 active cases and one hospitalization. There are nine (+6) cases of a variant in the region.

    Walk-in Vaccination Clinic for those 55 and over

    The CISSS will be receiving 2300 doses of the AstraZeneca vaccine in the coming days. Those aged 55 and over will have access to walk-in clinics at the following locations:

    • Bonaventure, April 14 – 8 a.m to 5:30 p.m.
    • Maria, April 16 – 8 a.m to 5:30 p.m.
    • Sainte-Anne-des-Monts, April 14 – 8 a.m to 5:30 p.m.
    • Gaspé, April 14 – 8 a.m to 5:30 p.m.
    • Grande-Rivière, April 14 – 8 a.m to 5:30 p.m.

    Gîte du Mont Albert – Screening

    The Gaspé Peninsula – Magdalen Islands Public Health department is calling for the screening of anyone who visited the Gîte du Mont Albert during the period of March 31 and April 9. If you visited that establishment during the mentioned timeframe, you are being asked to make an appointment for a COVID-19 test by visiting https://cv19quebec.ca or calling 1 877-644-4545. Isolation is not necessary unless you have COVID-19 symptoms. If you are experiencing symptoms, public health would like you to isolate until you are tested for COVID.
