  • Regional update: Six new cases reported today, 78 active cases remain in the region

    New Cases: There are six new cases of COVID-19 confirmed in the Gaspé Peninsula and Magdalen Islands. This brings the total number of cases in the region to 1,676.  Seven individuals are currently hospitalized as a result of COVID-19.

    New cases:

    • 2 – Avignon MRC
    • 4 – Rocher-Percé MRC

    Active cases

    There are currently 78 active cases in the region:

    • Avignon MRC – 14
    • Bonaventure MRC – less than 5
    • Rocher-Percé MRC – 46
    • Côte-de-Gaspé MRC – 13
    • Haute-Gaspésie MRC – less than 5
    • Magdalen Islands – less than 5

    New Cases: There are seven new cases of COVID-19 confirmed in the Gaspé Peninsula and Magdalen Islands. This brings the total number of cases in the region to 1,670.  Seven individuals are currently hospitalized as a result of COVID-19.

    New cases:

    • 1 – Avignon MRC (from December 31)
    • 5 – Rocher-Percé MRC
    • 1 – Côte-de-Gaspé MRC

    There are currently 84 active cases in the region:

    • Avignon MRC – 14
    • Bonaventure MRC – less than 5
    • Rocher-Percé MRC – 50
    • Côte-de-Gaspé MRC – 15
    • Haute-Gaspésie MRC – less than 5
    • Magdalen Islands – less than 5
