Regional update: Quebec officially in 3rd wave; walk-in clinics open up on the 9th

There are two new cases of COVID-19 bringing the overall total number of cases in the Gaspé Peninsula and Magdalen Islands to 1765. There are currently 9 active cases and one hospitalization.

Walk-in vaccination clinics

Gaspesians will have access to walk-in vaccination clinics as of Friday, April 9. The region has received 2,300 doses of AstraZeneca, which will be administered until the doses are exhausted. Individuals aged 55 to 79 will be able to show-up at the locations listed below between 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. It is important to bring your health insurance card with you.

According to Public Health, if the demand is too high, vouchers will be provided. In addition, appointments can also be made for the walk-in clinics.
