There are five new cases of COVID-19 bringing the overall total number of cases in the Gaspé Peninsula and Magdalen Islands to 1778. There are currently 21 active cases and one hospitalization. There are three (+1) cases of the variant in the region.

Gîte du Mont Albert – Screening

The Gaspé Peninsula – Magdalen Islands Public Health department is calling for the screening of anyone who visited the Gîte du Mont Albert during the period of March 31 and April 9. If you visited that establishment during the mentioned timeframe, you are being asked to make an appointment for a COVID-19 test by visiting https://cv19quebec.ca or calling 1 877-644-4545. Isolation is not necessary unless you have COVID-19 symptoms. If you are experiencing symptoms, public health would like you to isolate until you are tested for COVID.
