Regional update: Covid numbers creep up during Easter long weekend
Several new cases of Covid were confirmed over the Easter long weekend bringing the overall total number of cases to 1761. There are currently six active cases and one hospitalization.

Regional update: first COVID-19 variant registered in the region
One new case of COVID-19 has been reported today in the Côte-de-Gaspé MRC. The total number of cases in the region is currently 1,756 and one individual is still hospitalized.
The Public Health Board has confirmed the first case of the variant registered in the region. It must however, be noted that Dr. Yv Bonnier Viger, the region’s director of the Public Health Board has specified that the person affected by the variant has an address in the Gaspé Peninsula but is currently outside the area.
